Today's the first day of Tango-weekend! Lessons are given from 1 till 4 pm and at one of the two nights a big tango dance is happening from 6 till 11 pm!
So let's get our dancingshoes and start dancing!
Actually, today we don't have to do a lot of work, because we did some more hours during the week. Tomorrow some of us will definitely join the Tango classes, but this afternoon me, Megan and maybe Jessica+ Andrew too will change into our pajamas and go on the Christmastrain ride through the Redwoods!Really excited for that :)
Yesterday was the Festival of the Lights Christmasparade through town at 7 pm, and ofcourse we couldn't miss that! It was really funny, because every 10 minutes a parade car drove through the street. This was the slowest parade I had ever seen in my life, haha. But all the locals got their chairs out and reserved a seat on the sidewalks to get the best view. We were satisfied with our hot chocolate in our cold hands.
After the parade we decided to make use of the fireplace, and we got enough (dry) wood together to start a fire. It was so nice and Vivien got to the store at 9 pm to get some hot chocolate and marshmallows for everyone to have at the fireplace. It was so nice and cosy we definitely felt the typical winter-feeling. At around 9.30 pm, the tango instructors came back from dinner. They are so nice! We had a long talk all together and they had lots of stories to tell. It's actually their sixth or seventh time that they teach Tango here. They had a long journey, but they stayed up quite a while.
This morning Megan and I decided to get up early and go have some morning-coffee at the Headland's Coffeehouse. She brought here laptop and I brought my postcards and we both started writing. I've got lots of postcard-writing to do and I didn't finish them all this morning, but it's a good start ;)
Yesterday we were doing the set-up for the high tea we are having here the following weekends and this morning our first reservation was made!
I baked some cookies just a few minutes ago, because it ain't a suprise that I LOOOOOOVEEE baking :)
More tango/christmastrainride/hotchocolate/winterfeeling-stories tomorrow!
Cheers!
